Welcome to Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
Cherry Hill Township is a township located in Camden County, New Jersey. As of the 2000 census, the township had a total population of 69,965, making it the sixth-largest municipality in the Delaware Valley. Originally incorporated as Delaware Township in 1844, Cherry Hill Township has a graceful, colorful history. For over a century, the township prospered as a community of thriving family farms, grist mills and carriage makers.
Today, Cherry Hill Township has emerged as one of the most prized living areas in all of New Jersey. It has become a fast-paced business center in its own right, offering unlimited opportunity. Its ideal location makes it easy to reach all surrounding metropolitan areas, for business or pleasure. Along with a desirable location, Cherry Hill Township boasts top-notch public schools as well as highly accredited private schools. The area now known as Cherry Hill was originally settled by the Leni Lenape Native Americans who coexisted peacefully with the first settlers from Britain, Quaker followers of William Penn who arrived in the late 1600s.

Subaru of America, Commerce Bancorp, Commerce National Insurance, and Commerce Capital Markets are headquarted in Cherry Hill. The Cherry Hill Mall, a principal shopping center in the Philadelphia metropolitan area, was the first enclosed shopping mall in the eastern United States.
Families today can still enjoy any of the town's 50 area parks and local waterways. Take advantage of the tennis courts, softball fields and soccer fields. Or relax with a game of golf at one of Cherry Hill Township's many fine country clubs or public golf courses. Shopping is legendary in Cherry Hill Township! Set out for a full day of Shopping at one (or all) of the area's five major malls. Cherry Hill Township is also home to the Garden state Park, rebuilt in 1985. The New Jersey State Fair is also held annually at the site, and one of the area's largest flea markets can be found there as well.
